Supervisory General Engineer (Ops Supervisor)

As a Supervisory General Engineer (Ops Supervisor), you will: Supervise the work of a team of region staff engineers (4-8) whose full performance level is GS-13 or higher who perform inspections and other program duties. Perform the full range of first-line technical and administrative supervisory responsibilities. Interpret and apply Federal regulations and monitoring requirements to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of natural gas and hazardous liquid pipeline systems of operators. Lead on-site inspections and conducts investigations of pipeline facilities involved in major accidents or failures, including providing direction and coordination to OPS and/or state teams assigned to major pipeline accidents. Develop and recommend to the Region Director initiatives and strategies for implementation at the region and national level to address identified pipeline safety and environmental problems.
