About the role
Serve as senior Contracting Officer and technical leader providing guidance and monitoring on all acquisitions assigned to the team for technical quality and achievement of key milestones throughout the entire acquisition process. Review incoming Requests for Contracts to determine the proper method of acquisition based on a broad knowledge and full understanding of the constantly changing procurement regulations. Examine proposed program legislation and/or meets with program personnel to determine forthcoming changes in laws and regulations which may impact upon procurement and the operations of the group. Analyzes Congressional inquiries involving procurements and prepares appropriate responses based upon knowledge of procurement operations.
