Training Specialist (Joint Doctrine)

Lead cross-directorate efforts to refine and update Joint Doctrine, ensuring alignment with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance and USSOUTHCOM Commander priorities. Direct the revision and update of the Command’s Joint Training Plan (JTP), including the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL), Commander’s Training Guidance, and Joint Task Force (JTF) training. Serve as the primary Command advocate and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for joint doctrine development, collaboration working groups, and emerging joint capabilities Support senior leaders (3-4 star level) during joint warfighting discussions, collaborative sessions, and doctrinal development wargaming. Conduct research and complex analysis to develop management tools and recommendations that improve the viability and cost-effectiveness of organizational training systems. Facilitate the USSOUTHCOM Lessons Learned Program, including the coordination and execution of After Action Reviews (AARs) for operational exe
