About the role
Serves as Team Lead and subject matter expert on federal employee benefits, providing authoritative guidance on complex and sensitive HR issues. Leads, coaches, and assigns work to a team; monitors performance, ensures workload balance, and facilitates training and development. Oversees benefits programs including health and life insurance, retirement, and workers' compensation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Provides retirement and separation counseling expertise, resolving complex eligibility, annuity, and benefits issues for employees and agencies. Manages and leads HR projects, including planning, execution, resource coordination, and evaluation of deliverables and outcomes. Conducts quality assurance reviews, audits, and data analysis to improve program effectiveness and ensure accurate benefits administration. Engages in business development, stakeholder consultation, and interagency coordination to expand HR services and improve program delivery.
