Logistics Management Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Supply Chain Management (SCM) planning and provide administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Integration Resolves or contributes to the resolution of assigned high-priority logistics, supply, distribution, information or service problems through personal action or immediate coordination with required local personnel/activities. Establishes procedures for the integrated efforts of SCM operations with services throughout the VAMC and supported activities for mission essential deployment of SCM EMRT planning. Ensures that all assigned personnel and equipment are properly identified and prepared for deployment during simulated and actual emergency response exercises.
