DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY: This position is being filled using Direct-Hire Authority under 5 CFR 337.201 (DA-002) for this occupation. Major Duties: The Area Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, services, maintenance and security for all customers within their immediate geographic area. The Area Manager provides management, supervision and services for Area Network Operations, Operation Support, Systems Integration, and Systems Design. The Area Manager directs, reviews, and participates in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of automated information systems and technical architectures in compliance with Congressional, VA, OI&T, and EUO directives. Develops long range program goals and objectives, assigns projects to subordinates and monitors operations to reach objectives.
