Directs policy formulation and implementation within the Bureau on Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) and/or missile nonproliferation matters. Provides working level direction and supervision of the interagency processes for CBW and/or missile related licensing, interdictions, visa screening, and sanctions implementation. Plans and manages Office activities relating to the wide range of issues under its purview; recruits, directs and supervises Office staff; and takes over as the Director of the Office in the absence of the ACN/CP/WMC Director. Leads the Bureau in the oversight and clearance of diplomatic instructions, issues papers, press guidance, Congressional reports, decision memoranda, etc. related to CBW and/or missile nonproliferation issues.
