SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER (ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF)

You will advise the command and senior leadership on fire protection and related emergency response activities. You will train firefighters on shipboard, structural, confined space, and hazardous materials firefighting procedures. You will collaborate with fire fighter personnel to ensure emergency responses (e.g., fire suppression, injured victims, hazardous spill cleanup) are assigned. You will act as a liaison with other agencies to establish, modify, and oversee all mutual aid agreements dealing with emergency response capabilities. You will maintain awareness of changes in federal, state, or local fire service ordinances and laws to convey information to junior employees.
