About the role
This position is located within the US Capitol Police (USCP), Assistant Chief of Police for Uniformed Operations, Operational Services Bureau, Hazardous Incident Response Division, Hazardous Materials Response Team (HMRT). The role of HMRT is to respond to credible threats of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN), or high-yield explosive incidents in order to conduct consequence management operations by providing capabilities for agent detection, identification, and limited mitigation, casualty search and extraction, and personnel decontamination, limited emergency medical care and stabilization of contaminated personnel.
