Supervisory Aviation Safety Inspector, Boston FSDO, EASD61

The position reports to the applicable manager & will execute the Agency's aviation safety mission, communicate & build change coalitions. The manager is responsible for aviation safety activities in a complex & dynamic air carrier &/or general aviation environment that includes experience in one or more of the following specialties: Operations, Avionics, Maintenance, & Cabin Safety. Applies an advanced knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed & ensures the promotion of the highest level of safety compliance with regulatory standards while utilizing transparency of data exchange that includes the identification of hazards & management of risk. Manages & sets clear performance standards that promote accountability, a sense of individual responsibility, professionalism, & pride for organizational performance to next level managers (e.g., assistant managers, front line managers, supervisory principle inspector, as applicable).
