About the role

Analyzes, assesses, and provides user access to the Local Area Network (LAN/Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) via the addition of hardware or via reconfiguring existing hardware. Initiates appropriate actions to optimize LAN/WLAN performance via system fine tuning, hardware and/or software enhancements. Develops requirements to facilitate end user LAN/WLAN interfaces with medical systems and applications. Collaborates with staff, System Administrators, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Network Staff, and Cyber Security personnel to ensure the security of systems, networks, and devices in the DHAs LAN/WLAN Accreditation. Conducts periodic scanning of network to identify compliant and non-compliant systems on network. Provides reports to higher echelons, Cyber Security, and the MTFs. Develops, procures, and deploys new network technologies in support of LAN/WLAN hardware and software life cycle management.
