About the role
Duties for the Civil Engineer include, but are not limited to the following: Providing engineering support to the Directorate of Construction (DOC) and the Office of the Solicitor on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) litigations related to worker safety in construction. Preparing technical investigation reports, providing guidance for the identification of causal factors related to the incidents. Providing clear oral guidance to field office staff, construction related associations, trade groups, organized labor, workers, and specific interest groups when needed. Assessing relative importance of activities and assignments; adjusting priorities when appropriate. Providing staff advisory, consulting, and reviewing services to DOC and OSHA's area offices
