General Engineer, AST, Flight Systems Training and Operations (Direct Hire)

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Provides engineering leadership in the development, definition, and integration of overall operations requirements. Supports the definition and development of concepts, ground rules, and techniques for human spaceflight operations. Analyzes and resolves issues and constraints of both pre-flight and real-time operations. This includes developing and executing clear, concise communication in a real-time operational environment. Represents the organization as a senior Flight Controller, instructor, technical systems analyst, integrator, ground systems, or safety expert for human spacecraft at technical and operational meetings with internal and external partners.
