Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Perform risk assessments analyses of operations, facilities, and assets to ensure appropriate implementation and maintenance of security systems, including access control, alarms, and surveillance systems. Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures and technical methods to enhance physical protection at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center and all component facilities, to protect NASA assets and interests. Perform work involving physical security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, information, and critical assets at NASA facilities. Continuously assesses procedures to recommend improvements and changes to enhance overall security. Directly responsible for development and tracking of Metrics data and the implementation and maintenance of a dashboard for the tracking of trends for mitigation and operational resource management, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
