***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located in the Aviation Materiel Management section of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). Its purpose is to control, oversee, coordinate, and implement the specific functions of Aviation Material Repairable Exchange and Hazardous Material identification, handling and disposal. Serves as the technical advisor /and point of contact for matters related to hazardous materials. Identifies and handles hazardous materials in storage areas. Insures the safe receipt, storage and movement of hazardous and toxic materials and substances such as ammunition, explosives, chemicals, or radioactive materials in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Responsible to identify, collect, process and consolidate hazardous waste in preparation for disposal.
