About the role
As a General Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Serves as senior systems engineer supporting Satellite Ground System planning, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of communications, networks, data production, and data distribution systems. Provide technical advice to Program Management, satellite systems architectures, satellite operations, meteorological data products, algorithm development, system readiness and test, hardware and software development, and the satellite ground system. Plan and conduct Engineering studies meant to assess specific programs or projects of considerable scope and complexity ensuring feasibility, economy, and effectiveness of engineering plans. Manage full life-cycle support of pre- and post-Acquisition and associated tasks. Determine in-house or contracting-out of work to create the most cost effective and significant approach.
