About the role
As a Physical Scientist/General Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Perform engineering or science calculations, develop preliminary design parameters, data and equipment design solutions and specifications, as well as project costs. Conduct project analysis of satellite data and frequency interference to determine projects' impact on public safety, natural or environmentally sensitive locations, mission readiness, and operations during weather conditions. Manage contracts as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Work with manufacturers and customers to develop specialized ground equipment enhancing satellite communications and data distribution for various systems. Ensure completion of documentation for procurement of divers, complex, novel, and unique electrical, mechanical, physical, science, or civil systems and specialized equipment for satellite or ground systems and various facilities.
