Program Manager (Chief of Staff)

Manages assigned support office activities through direct supervision of Support Office Chiefs including Safety and Occupational Health, Security and Law Enforcement, Public Affairs, Internal Review, Mission Support, and other offices as directed. Initiates priority or special assignments based on changing conditions locally or higher echelon directives affecting existing programs, deadlines, and objectives, and maintains a continuing overview of the functions. Evaluates subordinate supervisors, interviews, makes final key and subordinate selections, determines training and workforce development needs, approves awards, recommends disciplinary action, approves leave and travel, and acts on personnel matters. Oversees short and long-range planning in conjunction with prospective changes in USACE missions and programs.
