About the role
Aquatics Duties include but not limited to: Assists in planning, and implementing a comprehensive, aquatics program, for active and retired military, authorized civilians, contractors, and dependents at multiple facilities. Program includes recreation swim, lap swim, water safety instruction, aquatic events, etc. Protects lives through aggressive prevention, preparedness, education, emergency medical, and rescue programs. Ensures all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to swimming pools and waterfronts are posted and observed. Performs water rescues and land rescues equal to the standard of training when an emergency is taking place (e.g. drowning, medical or trauma in the water, etc.). Manages respiratory, cardiac and first aid emergencies to include performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bag-valve-mask (BVM) resuscitation, or automatic external defibrillation (AED).
