Nurse (Occupational Health)-GS-0610-12

Plans, develops, and manages a comprehensive Occupational Health services program, ensuring compliance with regulations from OSHA, DoD, and other governing bodies. Provides direct nursing care for occupational injuries and illnesses, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Recognize hazardous exposures (chemical, physical, biological), initiating appropriate treatment or referral, and conducting various physical examinations. Act as a technical expert and resource for managers, employees, and other healthcare providers on occupational health issues. Provide consultation, guidance, and training to nurses, safety officers, and other personnel. Performs and oversees worksite visits, independently or with a team, to evaluate health hazards, work practices, and the use of protective equipment. Analyze findings to identify trends and recommend controls to mitigate risks. Develop and implement preventative services and health programs for employees, including wellness initiatives, med
