About the role
What will I do in this position if hired? In this Emergency Management Specialist - Planning Specialist (PLSP) position, you will be a member of the Planning Cadre and will participate in planning processes and develop crisis action plans at a disaster/incident. This position coordinates and supports the implementation of disaster recovery services and programs and analyzes resource requirements, and capabilities to enable program delivery and performance. Typical assignments include: Gathering, preparing, and/or maintaining designated inputs towards plans or products for the Documentation Unit, Situational Unit, Resources Unit and/or Planning Support Unit. Preparing draft plans as directed, including but not limited to, strategic plans, COOP, contingency plans, advanced operational plans, crisis action plans, transition plans, and demobilization plans. Participating in the Incident Action Planning Process and aid in the development, review, approval, and dissemination of the Incident
