About the role
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as an Insurance Examiner within the Federal Insurance Mitigation Administration. Typical assignments include: Serve as a claims expert for the National Flood Insurance Program possessing extensive knowledge of the program's statutes, regulations, and policies. Serve as a claims expert for the National Flood Insurance Program ensuring that policyholders are being treated fairly in accordance with statutes, regulations, and policies where appropriate. Review and evaluate flood insurance claims files, procedures, and practices to determine if the claims are being adjusted, processed, and examined in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Program regulations Write, review, and interpret guidance and procedures to be implemented by the National Flood Insurance Program's Direct Servicing Agent and the Write Your Own companies.
