About the role
You will work in the Metrology branch and focused on the Metrology and Calibration aspects of the calibration laboratory and shipyard quality manual. You will be responsible for planning and conducting quality audits, surveillances, assessments, investigations, and studies. Present audit and surveillance findings and observations to appropriate management. You will review shipyard's audit and surveillance program instructions and methods/techniques for adequacy with emphasis on compliance with NAVSEA Quality Program Manual. You will maintain records of audit, surveillance, and investigation results. Reviewing the status of outstanding audit and surveillance items in their areas. You will conduct or direct subordinate personnel in the initial review of action Shop/Code responses to audit and surveillance findings to assure administrative and technical accuracy of the responses.
