ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST

You will monitor contractor compliance with Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) rules and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels. You will develop instructions and procedures for contractor ship repair and maintenance work conducted at Naval installations throughout the San Diego Region under SWRMC contracts. You will conduct inspections and audits of materials and equipment usage and regulatory reports submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with air pollution regulations and SWRMC permits. You will serve as the subject matter expert in environmental issues including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Air Resources Board, and San Diego Air Pollution Control District rules and regulations.
