Supervisory Economist/Supervisory Statistician (Economics)

Duties include but not limited to: Serves as the senior economist on the immediate staff of the Regional Commissioner and provides consultative services to the Regional Commissioner and Regional Management on a variety of sub-national BLS data products. Plans, directs, supervises, and monitors preparation of major regional BLS publications suitable for the mass media such as a press releases and analysis of economic data in the region. Prominent among these BLS programs are the Consumer Price Index and Employment/Unemployment, Wages and Safety and Health. Provides consultative services and information to representatives of the media. Develops an overall plan for economic analysis in the region, centering around regional data and the EA&I key activities, which includes publications, outreach, program support, and staff development.
