About the role
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of clerical and technical assistance in support of human resources operations. Typical work assignments will include: Overseeing the District's training program and identifying employees' training needs; Assisting with the development and posting of job announcements; Evaluating qualifications of candidates; Assist with managing the District's student and volunteer employment programs; Conducting new employee orientation; Serving as a timekeeper and assisting employees with leave questions and resolving leave issues; Initiating and processing pre-employment background investigations; Maintaining a variety of personnel files; and Composing a variety of written documents utilizing various types of office automation software. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
