About the role
Prepare patient, explain the procedure, set up the imaging suite and equipment, prepare the contrast material for administration. Independently perform a variety routine to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures. Maintain flow of patients in and out of the radiology department by matching images to requests. Perform radiographic examinations of the skull, chest, pelvis, spine, and abdomen, upper and lower extremities on patients. Review all radiograph imaging performed in the department for diagnostic quality prior to interpretation by the radiologist. Administer contrast under the supervision of the attending physician. Explain the examination and instructions with the patient.
