About the role
Directs, coordinates and administers all aspects of WHD programs in a region, representing the Wage and Hour Administrator on all matters, regarding such programs within the Region. Plans, formulates, develops, and executes regionwide programs and policies to carry out the mission and objectives of the program and provides executive direction to the subordinate WHD offices within the Region to ensure appropriate program emphasis and accomplishment of priorities in relationship to overall regional program objectives. Exercises broad delegated program and administrative authority in determinations relative to the proper accomplishment of program functions in the Region. Provides leadership and guidance in maintaining contacts with community, civic, business, and educational groups within the region. Maintains effective relations with the communications media of the Region, such as television, radio, newspaper, and trade or professional journals. Plans and directs other regionwide efforts
