Optometry Technician

Set up and operate diagnostic equipment and instruments to conduct diagnostic tests. Train patients on insertion, removal, and care of hard and soft contact lenses. Adjust and repair military eyewear using optical tools and heating units. Assist medical clerk with the patient check-in and appointments as needed. Assist with ordering and stocking of supplies for the clinic and exam rooms. Prepare spectacle orders to include transposing prescriptions, selecting proper frame size and style, proper bifocal height and decentration and proper temple size. Responsible for all administrative functions associated with Warfighter Refractive Surgery.
