Food Service Worker

Duties and Responsibilities: Places uniform portions of food into serving bowls. Sets up meal carts with hot and cold food items including meats. vegetables, salads. desserts, bread, butter, and beverages. Serves food by order and proper proportion and standard serving sizes. Collects meal serving trays, plates. and utensils from rooms when meals are finished and returns it to the Center's kitchen for cleaning. Sets up and operates dishwasher and stores cleaned dishes, glasses. and silverware. Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment and notifies kitchen supervisor or head cook of issues regarding dishwasher equipment. Scrapes. soaks, scours and scrubs bowls, pots and pans. Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks in areas such as: kitchen ceilings, exhaust hoods, floors, and walls. Cleans under and behind kitchen equipment, mops and washes floors. cleans walk-in refrigerators and freezers. and sanitizes garbage cans. Helps cook supervisor/head cook with the loading and on l
