Devises short- and long-term solutions to operational problems in consultation with HR staff on employee and labor relations, performance management and awards, executive pay and performance, benefits and retirement administration, telework, work life programs, and workers compensation. Trains new HR team members, answers questions, provides a "sounding board" for exchange of procedural as well as technical ideas, and otherwise mentors team members in the accomplishment of the work of their program areas or assignments. Oversees employee relations matters, including a broad range of advising on conduct and performance problems that may include aspects or involve areas of case law that are vague. Serves as an advisor to managers on interpretation of policy and procedures to ensure consistency in the application of policies and practices. Oversees administrative investigations.
