About the role
As a Environmental & Social Monitoring Specialist, you will: Monitor the E&S performance of active projects within DFC's portfolio through desk-based and on-site activities, with travel anticipated to be undertaken no less frequently than every other month, in accordance with Agency needs. Engage in person and virtually with clients to assess resourcing and skill required for adequate E&S risk management, to assure corrective actions are assigned and completed as needed, and to build clients' capacity in E&S risk management. Engage with third parties who perform monitoring at DFC's request to understand status of clients' E&S risk management. Collect, report, and synthesize monitoring data into reports and plans for projects assigned. Produce high quality written reports and deliver oral reports outlining project, sector or portfolio findings and recommendations. Support maintenance and improvement of internal DFC systems which track E&S risk management at project and portfolio levels.
