About the role
You will serve as a Telecommunication Specialist (CYBER) and be responsible for resolving issues involving conflicting telecommunications requirements. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Mastering telecommunications policy and technology Implementing new system design, test procedures, and quality standards per the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) Managing and building annual budgets Project management for new capabilities Making sound, well-informed, and objective decisions in regards to project and technologies Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
