About the role
You will serve as an Electrical Engineer and be responsible for new construction of CG facilities or repair, maintenance, modification, or renovation of existing facilities. Serves as the project point of contact for customers, activity, command, and contracting teams. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Develops project scope, conducts site investigations, performs cost estimates, and plans milestones to design completion. Design, analyze, and develops complex electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects; prepares drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using design software. Provides technical oversight and evaluation of A/E contractors; performs peer reviews; serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Manages project execution including construction oversight, submittal review, change orders, inspections, and quality assurance. Performs Facility Asset Management (FAM),
