About the role
The major duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: Provides maximum leadership, guidance, technical assistance, and support of the regional OSHA programs which provide protection to workers from known or potential occupational safety and health hazards and involve critical issues due to the life-threatening aspects of said hazards. Navigates enforcement cases through the process of National Office, Regional Office and Regional Solicitor review to ensure accurate and thoroughly developed cases and timely submissions to the National Office. Serves as liaison between the Regional Office and the National Office on compliance. Ascertains the purpose, intent and interpretation of legislation, effect of actions taken in the Region on the operations of other Regions and on the activities of States and other functional areas in the Department requiring coordination across regional lines of authority. Serves as principal advisor to the Deputy Regional Administrators
