Regional Supervisory Investigator

The major duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: Supervises a group of investigators, identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees, and making adjustments to accomplish the work in accordance with OSHA's strategic and operational planning priorities and within statutory deadlines. Advises the Assistant Regional Administrator on individual and group performance or conduct issues and makes recommendations for any needed remedial action. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Participates in and negotiates voluntary settlement agreements relative to whistleblower investigations. Reviews investigative files to ensure the proper applications of investigative protocol, the reasonableness of findings and conclusions, the adequacy of documentation, and to assure that cases are legally sufficient and consistent with OSHA policy and direc
