Mechanical Engineer

Conducts regular site visits and inspections to verify that mechanical system installation complies with the approved design, identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions as necessary. Serves as the primary point of contact for resolving mechanical engineering issues during construction, coordinating with contractors and the designer of record to develop and approve effective solutions for unforeseen field conditions. Participates in Biddability, Constructability, Operability, Environmental, and Sustainability (BCOES) reviews, analyzing final design documents to identify and mitigate potential mechanical system issues prior to the start of construction. Provides technical oversight of the mechanical commissioning process by reviewing plans, witnessing functional performance tests, and validating test results to ensure systems meet all contract requirements prior to government acceptance.
