Supervisory Civil Engineer

You will serve as the Assistant Area Engineer in the Area Office to supervise staff of permanent, temporary and contract personnel. The staff includes engineering, technical and contract administration team members. You will serve as the functional specialist for contract administration by preparing and by reviewing all contract actions, modifications, and correspondence for accuracy and compliance You will act as the District's technical expert for reviewing plans and specifications by identifying potential issues related to constructability, and by coordinating reviews. You will serve lead negotiator for changes and claims settlements on major projects. You will assume full responsibility and authority for the accomplishment of assigned functions as the Acting Area Engineer.
