Contract Specialist

Serves as a Contract Specialist, accomplishing negotiation, analysis, and other buying functions in support of assigned aircraft and equipment. Responsible for actions related to the administration, evaluation, analysis and negotiation of pre/post-award actions. Acquisition planning, preparation of cost and price analysis for designated actions, contract negotiations, execution, and contract administration. Evaluates contractors past delivery performance to determine if contract options should be awarded and to provide such information for pre-award survey use. Establishes necessary administrative controls and procedures to ensure contract compliance. Plans, solicits, negotiates and awards contracts within locally specified goals. Provides pre- and post-award procurement services in support of complex and/or diversified repairable and associated requirements.
