About the role
You will examine tools and materials prior to issue and upon return for damage and serviceability. You will segregate items according to apparent condition and determine when tools and equipment should be routed to appropriate areas for test, repair or calibration. You will maintain inventory and control records using an automated system. You will select and issue tools or materials to various tradesmen by their definition or select suitable substitutes. You will identify tooling and related material by knowledge of shop nomenclature, use of tool and accessory catalogs, and by manufacturers specifications. You will direct the work of assisting subordinates in the performance of foregoing work. You will pass on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and get work started at the job site.
