About the role
You will serve as Damage Control expert in support of the commands Fire Safety Assessment Program (FSAP) and in accordance with the CNSP/CNSL 4810.1. You will support the commands Emergency Management program which includes training staff on Area Commander duties, maintaining the Casualty Response Plan and coordinating with Supporting Commanders to improve Fire Response readiness. You will assist in the planning, executing, monitoring, of short- and long-term strategy and process improvement efforts to improve the fire response capabilities of the Area Commander. You will provide technical guidance to Force Damage Control Officer, Program Managers and surface ships. You will plan all aspects of a yearly Full-Scale Exercise to assess Area Commander proficiency when responding to a Major Shipboard Fire.
