Supervisory Contract Specialist (Branch Chief)

Serves as Supervisory Contract Specialist, Branch Chief, with an Unlimited Contracting Officer's Warrant for the Air Force Nonappropriated Fund Purchasing Office (AFNAFPO). Responsible for leading, planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities of subordinates ensuring the organization's goals and objectives are achieved. Responsible for the development of contracting and sourcing strategies; the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award of contracts. Oversees and performs analysis and evaluation of cost or price proposals and the administration of contracts ensuring compliance. Develops and provides business solutions to day-to-day contractual challenges. Communicates with industry and all levels of command in the form of briefings, written correspondences, and personal contact. Manages the resolution of conflicts impacting requirements, schedules, funding, critical issues related to policy application presents the rationale or position on specific problems. S
