About the role
Conducting pre-evaluation briefings at projects to discuss the purpose of the evaluation and the general approach to be taken, and to obtain information of unusual problem areas. Briefing operational and safety supervisory personnel to outline preliminary findings and possible means of correcting problems. Planning and conducting complete evaluations of work operations involving potentially hazardous environmental conditions, analyzing findings, and recommending corrective measures and controls. Performing, organizing and/or directing on-site surveys and investigations and conducts literature searches to determine nature and severity of hazards present. Participating in the review of plans for evaluation of the adequacy of health hazard controls. Preparing technical report identifying health hazards and recommending measures for their reduction or elimination.
