SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY

Plan, coordinate and directs the accomplishment of the various phases of the construction program at the assigned projects. Works with contractor representatives in the development of construction progress schedules and review schedules to insure that they are substantially reasonable and adequate. Maintain a constant check on the progress of work and takes any required action to accelerate construction to meet the requirements of such schedules. Represents the Contracting Officer and area engineer in negotiations with contractors concerning changes in construction, difficult engineering and construction problems, and makes the more difficult decisions regarding controversies which may arise. Responsible for the technical interpretation of the plans and specification. Makes technical recommendations regarding proposed contract modifications or change orders which must be approved by higher echelon.
