Recreation Assistant (Sailing Instructor) - Rainbow Bay Marina

Major Duties: Provides instruction on boating safety, sailing and windsurfing. Prepares lesson plans associated with sailing instruction for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Teaches private one on one and group lessons with no more than 12 students per class. Teaches basic sailing skills, rules of the road; care and maintenance of sails, lines, safety equipment; defines storm signals, navigational aids and buoys. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Controls: Works under the general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager. Works independently with minimal supervision under the confines of departmental and organizational guidelines, plans and policies. Refers questionable or unusual problems to Management. Guidelines: Incumbent complies with prescribed procedures and follows oral and written instructions. Incumbent is able to keep up with the normal flow of work. All duties are accomplished in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner. Complexity: Inc
