Medical Technician

Perform a wide variety of tests, procedures and examinations in a clinical laboratory. Utilize computerized automated analyzers to perform STAT chemistry procedures. Verify automated procedures and slide evaluations of specific blood cell populations; bone marrows; bodily fluids to include manual cell counts; coagulation studies. Prepare bacteriology cultures from sources/sites utilizing protocols. Review and correlate results of tests and examinations and prepare written reports. Give training and technical oversight to trainees. Restock supplies and routine maintenance on clinical instrumentation and equipment.
