Security Officer

Directs and/or plans, formulates, develops, coordinates, and implements the district's PSI programs as indicated below. Provides technical advice to district employees on security issues and evaluates recommendations or determinations relative to program changes. Reviews the district requirements for security clearances, evaluating the sensitivity classification of the position by applying need-to-know principles and pertinent security guidelines. Conducts local background checks applying clearance adjudication guidelines to conflicting testimony or sources of significant information to reconcile derogatory information. Develops security and crime prevention policies. Maintains liaison with local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as intelligence offices of all military departments in such matters as security requirements for off-base functions, investigative jurisdiction/report, etc. Oversees the execution of information security programs, with the technical assistance and
