Supervisory Program Oversight Specialist

Major Duties: This position serves as the first line Supervisor with the Approvals Management and Oversight team within the Program Oversight & Accountability Division and is in an assigned jurisdiction(s) across the United States and responsible for providing direct supervision and technical oversight of teams comprised of grades ranging from GS-09 to GS-11 within an assigned portfolio in support of EDU's mission. This position reports directly to the Chief Program Oversight Officer for the assigned jurisdiction. Other duties include: Provides technical and administrative oversight to a team of Education Approval Specialist. The supervisor performs the following duties: plans work to be accomplished by subordinates in different geographical locations, sets and adjust short-term priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of empl
