The position performs duties independently, working under the general supervision of section chief and technical direction of higher graded employees. Provides cultural resource input that involves planning, scheduling, budgeting, research, coordination, analyses and evaluation of assigned projects. Collects and identifies archeological information from a variety of sources in accordance with specific instructions and established procedures. Prepares reports documenting anthropological, archaeological, historical investigations for inclusion in environmental documents and compliance with Federal cultural resources directives. Write and prepare for distribution environmental documents as required by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and other federal government laws and regulations.
