Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Division Operations Officer)

This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Tampa Field Division, located in Tampa, FL. The Division Operations Officer (DOO) is responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring the functions of the division office. The position has responsibility for directing a staff involved in the planning, management, and evaluation of activities in the division. The DOO serves as the principal liaison between HQ or field division personnel with either the Special Agent in Charge (SAC), Director of Industry Operations (DIO) or the Assistant Special Agent(s) in charge (ASACs), other components of ATF, and other Government agencies in matters relating to the division's operational activities and its administrative programs.Typical duties will include: Develops and evaluates procedures or policies, determines the need for and formulates overall plans for special programs, and directs their implementation.
